City Aikido and Swordsmanship of Los Angeles is recognized by the Aikikai World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan through the United States Aikido Federation under the auspices of Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan.

Instructors City Aikido's Dojo Cho is Kazuho Nishida Sensei.  Nishida Sensei (pictured right) is a Shidoin with the USAF and has been studying aikido for over 30 years and is currently ranked  Godan (5th Degree Black Belt).  He is also a certified instructor in Muso Shinden Ryu (Iaido). City Aikido's Chief Instructor is Victor Rodriguez Sensei.  Rodriguez Sensei (pictured left) has been studying Aikido for over 20 years and is currently ranked  Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt).

They are assisted by City Aikido's Yudansha (black belt) members in instructing: Jim Graves, Shidoin Yaz Matsuki Mark Moore Aris Stamatelaky Jim Babor Dennis Lazarte Tom Ito Garrett Lee Ken Fung Rod Yabut
